Welcome to Frisco Youth Volleyball League

Frisco Youth Volleyball League was formally created in the fall of 2006 and became the FAN’s first organization hosting volleyball leagues. FYVB relies on wonderful volunteer coaches to teach volleyball to children in grades 3 through 9. Along with FusionVBC’s professional coaches, our staff provides training assistance to the volunteers through coaching manuals, practical application of drills and assistance in practices. Our coaches and athletes are also provided with a clinic each spring to enhance the training experience.

Registration for the 2008 spring season is December 1, 2007 through February 5, 2008. Late registration ends February 15, 2008.

Practices begin February 18, 2008 Games begin March 1, 2008

Practice schedule will be completed during the pre-season coach’s meeting. Practices will be held in FISD middle schools this season on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday at 6:45p or 7:45p.

Mission Statement

Frisco Youth Volleyball League provides a safe and fun environment for athletes third through ninth grade to increase volleyball skills and sports ethics through practices and league competition.

* Teams are coached by volunteer coaches*. All coaches undergo a background check.

Spring 2008 Coach & Player Clinic

FYVB hosts a clinic for coaches and players prior to the spring season to help promote proper training. Professional coaches from Fusion Volleyball Club donate their time to run the clinic, working with coaches and players side by side. This clinic is available for all registered members of the spring 2008 season. Details on the clinic will be provided in January.

The Volley Angels are Coming Spring 2008

Join us as we introduce our newest division, The Volley Angels. This division is for special needs athletes and community volunteers we call VolleyPals. The game is the same, but we’ve made a few modifications to the court, the rules and the equipment so those with physical or mental challenges can learn to play volleyball. There are 5 games scheduled but no practices.

The Frisco Women’s League is a sponsoring partner for The Volley Angels. Donations through their fundraising efforts along with funds donated by other sponsors defray the costs to operate this divsion, therefore, the registration fee is significantly reduced. Registration fee: $15

Practices for FYVB are held in Frisco ISD facilities, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 6:45p and 7:45p. Coaches select the practice location, day and time at the season coach’s meeting. Practices begin 2 weeks prior to the first game and finish the week of the tournament.

FYVB members are scheduled to play 8 games during the season over 6 to 7 weeks. Games are played on Saturday mornings between 8:30a and 3:30p in a Frisco ISD facility.
